I love the convenience of the original Nespresso pods for espresso and ristretto, and the odd lungo, and hate the spinny stupidness and fake crema of their new Vurtuo system.
A good thing about the original is that you can try coffee from a wide range of companies, including lazavva and illy, and smaller roasters. The problem with third party pods is that it's often a lucky dip. Some leak. Some don't pop through at all. I've had some nameless brands where over 1/2 don't give me a shot!
Not with Starbucks who use Nespresso official pods - with their all-important copyrighted gasket!
This box offers a good variety and combination. All tasty and strong enough. Good value for money if you get it on a deal like I did. And try out the likes of Starbucks Guatemala pods, not in this selection, but they're lovely. Highly recommended!
